Man At Risk Of Dying After Explosion In Msida Garage Leads To Fire

Today, at around 0920hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq il-Kunċizzjoni, Msida.
Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations showed that a 35 year old man resident of Swieqi was in a garage when an explosion took place and a fire broke out.
A medical team and Civil Protection Officers convened on site and assisted the man. He was later transported to Mater Dei Hospital and he was certified as having suffered serious injuries.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
