Man At Risk Of Dying After Being Burned Whilst Lighting BBQ With Fuel

A 50 year old man suffered burns in an accident yesterday in his own residence in Triq il-Ħtajriet, Mosta.
At around 1930hrs, police were informed that the man had suffered injuries whilst on the roof of his residence.
Investigations showed that the man suffered burns when, for some reason, fuel which was being used to light a bbq ended up on him.
A medical team as well as Civil Protection Department officials arrived on site and gave immediate assistance. He was later transported to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have suffered serious injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
