MAN ARRESTED AFTER STABBING INCIDENT IN PACEVILLE

A violent argument inside a nightclub in Paceville early on Sunday escalated into a stabbing, leaving one man seriously injured. The incident occurred at around 1am, prompting a swift police response.

The victim, a 32-year-old Syrian man residing in Żabbar, suffered a stab wound to the neck. He was given immediate assistance at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified with serious injuries.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man from Pembroke at the scene. Officers also recovered a pointed instrument believed to have been used in the attack, which was secured to prevent further harm.

The case is under inquiry by Philip Galea Farrugia, while investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the altercation.
