Man Apprehended For Illegally Harvesting 25 Protected Sea Urchins

On Sunday 30th August 2026, the Malta Police Force and Environment & Resources Authority officers apprehended a person who had allegedly harvested 25 protected sea urchins from local waters.
Unfortunately, the sea urchins could not be returned to the sea as they had already died. The case will be brought before court, ERA explained.
