Maltese singing star Destiny Chukunyere has celebrated her 24th birthday, marking another milestone for one of Malta’s most recognisable musical talents.

Born on 29 August 2002, Destiny has established herself as a household name in Malta after first capturing international attention at a remarkably young age.

Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Not My Soul, going on to win the competition with 185 points.

Destiny later took her talents to the United Kingdom, appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, before returning home and winning the second season of X Factor Malta.

That victory earned her the opportunity to represent Malta at Eurovision. After the 2020 contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Destiny returned in 2021 with “Je Me Casse”, finishing seventh in the final with 255 points.

Now 24, Destiny remains one of the most prominent voices to emerge from Malta’s music scene, with her powerful vocals and energetic performances earning her recognition both locally and internationally.
