Maltese Lieutenant Completes Intense Signal Basic Officer Leader Course In USA

Over an intensive eighteen week programme, Second Lieutenant Aidan Dwight Mallia successfully completed the prestigious Signal Basic Officer Leader Course (SBOLC) in Fort Gordon, Georgia, United States.

He received comprehensive training in communications and information systems, leadership, network operations, tactical communications, cybersecurity fundamentals, radio frequency communications, signal planning, and mission command systems.

The course is designed to develop the technical expertise and leadership capabilities required to support command and control operations in modern military environments.

The training culminated in a demanding four-day field exercise focused on retransmission communications operations, during which participants were required to establish, operate, and maintain tactical communication networks under field conditions.

The course concluded with a challenging 10-mile ruck march, testing the endurance, resilience, and determination of all students.
