Malta-based Libyan artist Bahjat continues to gain international attention with his signature sound A-POP, a fusion of global pop and Arabic soul.

His latest single “Loco” has been featured by Rolling Stone MENA as one of the magazine’s “Songs You Need to Know” this week, highlighting his growing impact as an independent voice in global music.

Bahjat is appearing across several major outlets, including an interview on WTV on 23 October, a feature on Monte Carlo Radio in France on 25 October, and a live appearance on TVM, Malta’s national broadcaster, on 29 October.

“Loco” blends reggaeton rhythms with English and Arabic lyrics, weaving together Libyan and Egyptian dialects under a Spanish title.

The result is a bright and rhythmic track that reflects Bahjat’s cross-cultural approach to pop and his aim to bring Arab artistry to a wider global audience.

Following a challenging year in which he faced online criticism for expressing his identity, Bahjat has channelled his experiences into his new work, promoting messages of confidence and self-acceptance.

Teaming up with Swedish producer Mark West and Maltese producer Howard Keith Debono, Bahjat enters a new creative era that celebrates authenticity, connection, and a distinctively international sound.
