Maltese Florist David Grech Prepares Decorations For Easter Celebrations At Vatican Basilica

David Grech, a Maltese florist, is currently in the Vatican City preparing floral arrangements for this year’s Easter celebrations at the Vatican Basilica.

David and his team are currently in their workshop preparing the decorations ahead of tomorrow’s religious celebrations.

David shared that this year’s arrangements feature a number of orchids exported from Slovenia, along with various other flowers.

Easter celebrations in the Vatican are rather extensive, with a vigil typically held tonight, on Saturday, celebrating Christ’s resurrection before Sunday’s Easter Mass in the basilica, held by the Pope.

At noon on Easter Sunday, the Pope is also expected to deliver the traditional ‘Urbi et Orbi’ blessing in the basilica, extending his message of hope and renewal to the city of Rome and to the world.
