A group of 37 talented young dancers from Nicky's Dance Studios proudly represented Malta at Disneyland Paris on 2 July, showcasing their skills on one of Europe's most renowned entertainment stages.

Based at De La Salle, the studio travelled to France under the direction of Nicola Fenech, known as Ms Nicky, together with choreographers Nicole Chetcuti, Francesco Nicodeme and Nicola Micallef.

The dancers performed six routines featuring a variety of styles, including jazz, classical ballet, hip-hop, commercial dance and contemporary dance.

Their appearance at Disneyland Paris marked an important achievement for both the dancers and the studio, reflecting months of preparation, discipline and commitment.

Behind each performance were countless hours of rehearsals, with the young performers balancing their passion for dance alongside school, examinations and everyday responsibilities.

For many of the dancers, performing internationally is the result of years of hard work and perseverance. Their participation highlighted the high standard of talent within Malta's dance community and demonstrated that local performers are capable of excelling on international stages.

Nicky's Dance Studios continues to encourage young dancers to develop not only their technical abilities, but also confidence, teamwork and stage presence.

International experiences such as this provide valuable opportunities for artistic growth while allowing participants to represent Malta with pride.

The performances at Disneyland Paris celebrated the dedication, creativity and determination of these young artists, whose success reflects the growing strength of Malta's performing arts sector and the importance of supporting emerging local talent.
