Maltese Based Photographer Launches €500 Grant For Emerging Artists

Swedish-born, Żurrieq-based wildlife photographer Johan Siggesson has launched a €500 grant aimed at supporting emerging photographers, students and visual storytellers working in wildlife and conservation.
Siggesson has received international recognition for his work, including winning Travel Photographer of the Year in 2017 and a category at the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in 2018. More recently, his photograph At the Foot of the Mountain, featuring elephants beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, received multiple gold awards.
His new €500 grant is open to applicants of all nationalities and is intended to help emerging photographers, students and visual storytellers develop projects focused on wildlife and conservation. The initiative reflects Siggesson’s belief in photography’s ability to encourage a stronger connection with the natural world.
