Maltese Artist Designs Racing Suit For Malta’s First Female Skeleton Athlete

Stephanie Borg, a Maltese artist and designer, had the opportunity to design the racing suit for Malta’s first female skeleton athlete Shannon Galea.
The inspiration, Stephanie explained, was a reinterpretation of the Maltese female knight.
It draws on the black and white colours of the Knights of St John, ‘wrought-iron motifs and red accents reflecting Malta’s flag to symbolise strength, resilience and national pride, whilst blending heritage with contemporary design.’
‘Well done Shannon for your achievements! This collaboration is such a lovely celebration of art and sport’, wrote Stephanie.
