Malta’s National NYE Celebration Is Back With a MASSIVE Show Headlined by John Newman

Malta is gearing up for another unforgettable night as the National New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Valletta officially return; and this year’s edition promises to be one for the books!

Taking place at Pjazza San Ġorġ, the free national event will feature an outstanding live show headlined by international artist John Newman, the voice behind global hits like “Love Me Again” and “Blame”. As the clock strikes midnight, the celebrations will light up the sky with a spectacular fireworks display over the Grand Harbour, welcoming 2026 in style.

Hosting the night’s festivities are the dynamic duo Jamie Cardona and Taryn Mamo Cefai, guiding the audience through an evening packed with music, entertainment, and festive cheer.

Kicking off the night is local favourite Glen Vella with his band, followed by a one-of-a-kind performance from the Palace String Orchestra, featuring some of Malta’s top artists including Aidan Drakard, Denise, Gaia, Karin Duff, Keith Zammit Mintoff, and Klinsmann. DJs Denzel Jo Armani, WYNE, and Gabii will take over to keep the beats flowing well into the early hours throughout the show.

The free celebration is open to everyone, bringing locals and visitors together to ring in the new year at the heart of Malta’s capital city.

The National New Year’s Eve Celebrations are organised by G7 Events, supported through a Partnership Agreement with the Valletta Cultural Agency within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, with the contribution of the Malta Tourism Authority.
