Malta’s Disciplined Forces the Armed Forces of Malta, the Police Force, the Correctional Services Agency, and the Civil Protection Department came together in Valletta for a special celebration marking the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025.

As part of the Jubilee festivities, members of the forces gathered at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta for a Solemn Mass led by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna. The liturgy honoured the service of military, police, security, emergency, and rescue personnel, recognising them as agents of peace, protection, and hope within Maltese society.

The Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, proclaimed by Pope Francis, is dedicated to fostering spiritual renewal, forgiveness, solidarity, and hope at a time when the world faces conflict in various regions.

The celebration dedicated to the disciplined forces highlighted their essential role in safeguarding national security, maintaining public order, and serving the community in times of need.

Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment, Byron Camilleri, expressed gratitude for the courage, professionalism, and dedication of Malta’s disciplined forces.

Minister Camilleri added, “Our country’s disciplined forces live out the values of service and sacrifice. Their work ensures that the Maltese people can live in safety and dignity. Today’s celebration rightly honours their contribution to making Malta a safe home for all Maltese and Gozitan families.”
