Malta With 3rd Highest Employment In Cultural Sector In EU

According to statistics presented by Eurostat, Malta registered the third highest rate of people employed in the cultural sector.
5.1% of the total workforce of Malta in 2025 worked in the cultural sector, with the EU average being that of 4.3%, approximately 8.9 million people.
The Netherlands registered the highest rate at 5.7%, followed by Estonia at 5.3%. Meanwhile, Romania registered the lowest rate at 1.8%, followed by Slovakia and Ireland at 3.3% and 3.4% respectively.
