Malta With 2nd Highest Amount Of Tourists Staying Overnight In EU

Malta just recorded the second highest increase in overnight stays in tourism accommodations in the first half of this year.
A 9.9% increase was registered in Malta when compared to the same period last year, place Malta in second place behind Ireland, which registered a whopping 14.6% increase.
In the first half of this year, there were 1,321 million overnight stays in tourist accommodations across the EU, which is a 1.7% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Cyprus registered the largest decrease at 7.7%, followed by Romania at 6.7%.
