The Malta Trust Foundation, established in 2015 by H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, has provided support to more than 10,300 vulnerable children and adolescents in 2024 through life-changing social initiatives.

More than 10,300 vulnerable children and adolescents received transformative support last year through life-changing social projects delivered by The Malta Trust Foundation.

In 2024, the Foundation implemented 12 social projects, designed to address some of society’s pressing needs, ranging from mental health and educational assistance to creative arts therapies, family support, and community inclusion initiatives.

“Through its multidisciplinary approach, the Foundation continues to provide safe spaces, foster resilience, and open pathways to wellbeing, education, and personal development,” said Foundation Chair, President Emeritus Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

The work is delivered by a team of 44 professionals, including psychologists, counsellors, family therapists, arts therapists, social workers, and family support staff, who carried out 82,712 interventions throughout the year highlighting growing demand and trust in the Foundation’s services.

In 2024, operational and salary expenses totalled €1,724,603, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of donor funds.

At the AGM held at Dar Saura in Rabat, Ms Coleiro Preca thanked partners, volunteers, and supporters, emphasising the collaborative effort behind these achievements.

“Our work reaffirms a fundamental truth: when society unites to empower vulnerable children, we build brighter futures and a stronger, more compassionate nation. The Malta Trust Foundation remains committed to giving every child the opportunity to flourish.”
