Malta Tops EU With Lowest Unemployment Rate In July 2025

According to Eurostat, Malta recorded the lowest unemployment rate in the European Union in July 2025, at just 2.6%. This marks a slight increase from the 2.5% reported in June 2025. In contrast, the EU’s average unemployment rate stood at 5.9%, while the euro area had a rate of 6.2%
Following Malta, the countries with the next lowest unemployment rates were the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Poland.
