Malta To Expect First Storm Of The Season Next Tuesday

Malta is set to experience its first storm of the season after 100 days of very high temperatures, with the weather expected to change and temperatures set to start dropping near the middle of September.

The maximum temperature is set to decrease by an average of one degree per day between today and next Tuesday 15th September, as fresh Atlantic air arrives to give a less summery sensation to the Maltese islands.

Once this fresh air interacts with the Mediterranean's warm seas, the air is set to become more unstable. From tonight, thunderstorms are set to form in the north of Tunisia, with thunderstorms set to start forming even in Sicily from tomorrow. From Saturday, cloud cover is set to increase, even locally.

Various isolated showers are set to near Malta on Sunday 13th and Monday 14th, with the first storms expected in Malta on Tuesday 15th.
