Malta is also positioning itself as a national testbed for digital health and real-world data platforms, with hospitals and clinics already implementing AI diagnostics, telehealth, robotics, and digital hospital systems. These initiatives aim to improve patient outcomes and demonstrate Malta’s capacity for rapid innovation.

The Prime Minister stressed that international partnerships and public-private collaborations are helping turn scientific research into market-ready healthcare solutions, particularly in oncology and AI-powered diagnostics, strengthening Malta’s reputation as a reliable EU base for high-value innovation.
