Malta Sets New National Record With The largest Public Cooking Pan In Gozo

The Malta Records is pleased to announce a new national record for the Maltese Islands an impressive gastronomic feat that took place on Sunday.
A public event saw the creation of Malta’s largest cooking pan, boasting a diameter of three metres, a height of four inches, and a weight of 386 kilograms. Using this giant pan, chefs cooked 70 kilograms of pork along with other ingredients, producing a total of 115 kilograms of food. This hearty meal was then distributed to 383 people during the 2025 Herbs Festival, an annual event held in Għarb, Gozo.

This new record was achieved by the Għarb Local Council, under the direction of Mayor David Apap Agius. Special thanks were extended to Chef Kevin Galea, Rodianne Farrugia, and the many volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make the achievement possible.
