TechXpo 2025 marked its third edition with its strongest turnout yet, becoming a vibrant showcase of Malta’s expanding innovation landscape.
Held over three days, the event brought together around 95 Maltese companies working in cutting-edge fields including Artificial Intelligence, immersive technologies, fintech, and industrial innovation.
Supported by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority, the expo also hosted a conference featuring more than 65 experts discussing the latest developments in AI.
A national public consultation on the updated AI Strategy was launched during the event, highlighting a renewed focus on how emerging technologies can enhance everyday life in Malta.
In line with this vision, the Government announced a €100 million investment aimed at integrating AI more effectively into public operations and offering free training to citizens on tools like ChatGPT and Gemini.
Over 2,000 students visited TechXpo, experiencing firsthand the rapid advancements in robotics, drones, and AI-driven applications while discovering new career pathways.
Hands-on workshops showed the public how AI can support research and customer service in practical, accessible ways.
Silvio Schembri, Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, emphasised Malta’s long-term commitment to innovation, noting, “This is an industry that is growing rapidly and opening new horizons for our country… As a government, we will continue to invest in this sector, in education, and in training, to ensure that anyone who wishes to enter this industry can do so with modern tools and our full support.”
