The 2026/2027 Seasonal Vaccination campaign will begin on Monday November 2nd, with free vaccines against influenza, COVID-19 and pneumococcal disease being offered to eligible members of the public.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Ian Borg launched the campaign by being one of the first to receive the influenza vaccine, and urged people to get vaccinated ahead of the winter months.

Vaccinations will be available at Health Centres across Malta and Gozo, National Immunisation Service clinics, private doctors, and, as of this year, participating Local Councils.

Adults and children aged 13 and up will be able to get their vaccines from the Health Centres in Mosta, Paola, Floriana, Gżira, Kirkop, and Victoria Gozo everyday between 1pm and 7pm, including public holidays.

Alternatively, they are available at the Cospicua, Birkirkara, Qormi, and Rabat Health Centres between 1pm and 7pm everyday except Saturdays. Appointments are not required at any Health Centre.

3 types of vaccinations will be available. The influenza and COVID-19 vaccines can be given free of charge to everyone aged six months and over, while the PCV20 pneumococcal vaccine will be offered to adults aged 60 and up, or younger people with chronic medical conditions.

Health authorities have said that cases of influenza-like illnesses are increasing as the respiratory season begins, and have encouraged the public not to delay vaccination.
