Malta’s Magical Illuminated Trail Returns To Verdala This December!

One of Malta’s most anticipated Christmas attractions is officially making its return, as The Magical Illuminated Trail prepares to light up the beautiful Verdala Castle Gardens for its seventh edition!

Running from 4th December 2026 to 3rd January 2027, the popular festive attraction promises to transform the gardens into a spectacular Christmas wonderland, complete with thousands of twinkling lights, enchanting installations and festive music.

This year’s edition promises to be bigger, brighter and more magical than ever, introducing an entirely new collection of dazzling lanterns and interactive displays for visitors of all ages to discover.

Whether you're planning a festive family outing, a romantic evening surrounded by Christmas lights or simply looking to get into the holiday spirit, The Magical Illuminated Trail promises an unforgettable experience in one of Malta’s most picturesque settings.

Beyond spreading Christmas cheer, the event will once again be held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority.
