Malta Records Highest Tourism Overnight Stays In EU For 2025

Data recoded by Eurostat revealed that Malta experienced the highest increase in overnight stays spent in tourist accommodation in all of the EU for 2025.
A 10% increase can be seen in this area when compared to 2024, superseding destinations like France, Italy, and Greece.
The country which saw the second highest increase in overnight stays spent in tourist accommodation was Poland.
49% of Europeans staying in tourist accommodation where international, whilst 51% where domestic.
Romania, Ireland, and Liechtenstein all saw a decrease in touristic overnight stays when compared to last year.
