Malta Re-elected In Category C Of International Maritime Organisation At 34th IMO Assembly

Malta has officially been reelected to Category C of the International Maritime Organisation.

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonnet shared the news in a Facebook post, describing it as another “historic result for Malta.”

“We are proud that our country was elected again in Category C of these elections, when we ranked in ninth place out of 26 countries,” Bonnet stated.

The result was achieved during the 34th edition of the IMO Assembly General held in London.

Bonnet explained that the outcome reaffirms Malta’s role as an important contributor to the maritime sector.

“Because of this, we’re not just going to be a voice, but once again, we will be around the table where decisions are made,” concluded Bonnet.
