Malta Rangers Rescue Tiny Rat Named ‘Ranger’ In Qormi

Local
After a long shift dealing with multiple reports of injured birds, the Malta Ranger Unit made an unexpected rescue in Qormi, where a passer-by’s report of a shrew turned out with confirmation from the Wildlife Rescue Team Malta to be a baby rat.
After a long and difficult shift, marked by reports of injured birds, the Rangers ended the day with a small but heartwarming discovery.
Though rats are often considered pests, the Rangers stressed that any animal in need deserves care. The young rat, affectionately named Ranger, will be examined by a vet before being rehomed.
Malta Rangers Unit wrote, “Named ‘Ranger’, this might be the luckiest rat ever

. He put a smile on our Rangers face when they needed it the most.”
