Malta Public Transport Announces New Night Routes

Malta Public Transport announces a series of enhancements to its Night Bus network, aimed at improving service frequency and connectivity for its passengers. These changes, which include the introduction of four new night routes and the extension of two existing ones, will come into effect from 5th April 2026.
Introduction of New Night Routes
To further expand night-time connectivity, Malta Public Transport is introducing the following new night routes.
N3 Valletta–Kalkara: Following the same path as the day route, departures from Valletta at 22:55 and 23:25, Monday to Sunday.
N52 Valletta–Dingli: Following the same path as the day route, departures from Valletta at 23:00 and 23:30, Monday to Sunday.
N71 Valletta–Żurrieq: Following the same path as the day route, departures on weekdays at 23:00 and 23:30, and on weekends at 22:45 and 23:15.
N120 Xgħajra–Pembroke: Following the day route path, departures from Pembroke Park and Ride 4 at 23:10 and 00:10, Monday to Sunday.
Increased Frequency on Existing Routes
N13: Night service trips on weekdays will be more frequent, departing Valletta from 23:10 until 02:10, with a 10-minute frequency.
N212: Night service from Bugibba will also see an increase in trips. Departures will run Monday to Sunday between 23:50 and 01:30, every 20 minutes.
These changes reflect Malta Public Transport’s commitment to continue improving the bus service in Malta, providing passengers with more options for travel during late hours. The Night Routes are part of the free public transport service and holders of a valid Tallinja Card travel for free.
