Malta Police Praise Officers Following Safe Match Day For Over 11,000 Supporters

Yesterday’s international football match between Malta and Poland drew more than 11,000 supporters to the Ta’ Qali National Stadium, creating a vibrant atmosphere both inside and outside the venue.
Following the event, the Malta Police Force issued a statement thanking its officers for their efforts in ensuring the match proceeded safely and efficiently.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all police officers who worked throughout the day to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending,” the statement read.
From the early hours of the morning, officers coordinated traffic management and crowd-control measures in and around the stadium, helping thousands of fans arrive and depart without major disruption. Their visible presence and professionalism were described as essential to maintaining safety and order throughout the event.
The Police Force added that extra patrols and inspections were carried out before, during and after the match in key entertainment and tourist hubs, including Valletta, St Julian’s and Paceville, in an effort to uphold public safety across the island.
