Malta Police Force Conduct 28 Arrests This Week, Assisting 18 Victims

The Malta Police Force have shared several arrests and arraignments they've carried out this week across Malta and Gozo in connection with a wide range of offences.

Among the cases, several individuals were charged with drug possession, driving without a valid licence or insurance, using false registration plates, and disobeying lawful police orders during road checks.

Police also brought charges related to the possession of a stolen vehicle and a number of thefts, including shoplifting in Ħamrun and a series of thefts in Gozo.

Violent incidents were also reported, with arrests made in connection with a mugging of an elderly woman in Sliema, a stabbing at a bar in Ħamrun, and several cases involving injuries following arguments in Rabat, Floriana, Gozo and Ħamrun.

A man was additionally arraigned on charges of sexually defiling a minor in a hotel in St Paul’s Bay.

In separate cases, 12 men were charged over domestic violence offences, with police assisting a total of 18 victims. The authorities thanked officers for their dedication and the public for their cooperation.

A total of 28 arrests were made, and a total of 18 victims were assisted.
