Malta Only EU Country Where More Teenage Girls Smoke Cannabis Than Boys, Study Finds

In a recent study by the European Union Drugs Agency, it was revealed that 14% of girls aged 15 to 16 reported smoking cannabis in 2024 compared to 8% of boys in the same age group.
Malta stood out as the only country in the study where female youths were more likely to smoke cannabis than males.
The study also confirmed that cannabis remains the most widely used drug across all participating EU countries.
