Malta International Airport has unveiled its Winter 2025/26 flight schedule, featuring a robust network of 86 destinations operated by 23 airlines.

The new season will see the launch of three exciting routes to Tirana (Albania), Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and Gothenburg (Sweden), further strengthening year-round connectivity between the Maltese Islands and key European markets.

The airport continues to expand its links with the Scandinavian region, with SAS Scandinavian Airlines extending its Copenhagen route into the winter months, while Ryanair maintains flights to Stockholm-Arlanda and introduces the new Gothenburg route in late October.

These connections open the door for travellers to experience the Nordic winter charm, from Gothenburg’s Christmas markets to Stockholm’s icy archipelago and Copenhagen’s magical Tivoli Gardens.

Connectivity with Eastern Europe will also grow, with direct flights to Romania, Hungary, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Poland, and now Albania, thanks to Wizz Air’s new link to Tirana International Airport.

The Polish market remains one of Malta’s strongest, with over 70,000 passengers travelling between Malta and Poland in September alone, a 59.4% increase over last year.

Malta International Airport closed its summer season with nearly one million passengers in September, averaging a 90.7% seat occupancy rate.
