Malta Is Finally Starting To Cool Down As Temperatures Drop This Weekend

After months of heat, Malta is finally starting to feel a little less like summer.

Temperatures are expected to cool slightly this weekend, with daytime highs forecast to range between 26°C and 29°C, while nighttime temperatures could fall to around 20°C.

For this time of year, Malta’s average maximum temperature sits at around 28.6°C, while the average minimum is 21.2°C, meaning those cooler evenings are finally starting to creep in.

The change in temperature will also come with more unsettled weather, with partly to rather cloudy conditions and some showers expected from time to time, particularly on Saturday morning.

Winds are also set to play a part in making things feel cooler, especially on Sunday, when they are expected to increase to moderate to rather strong.

That said, the sea clearly hasn’t got the autumn memo yet. 🌊

Sea temperatures are still sitting at around 28°C, approximately 2°C warmer than normally expected for September.

So while it may not quite be hoodie weather all day just yet, cooler nights, cloudier skies and stronger winds are starting to make it feel like summer is finally on its way out.
