Eurostat data shows that in 2024, 68.5 per cent of people aged 16 and over across the European Union considered themselves to be in “good” or “very good” health.

According to the data, 68.5% of people in the EU aged 16 and over said they considered themselves to be in good or very good health in 2024.

At the top of the list is Ireland, where 79.9% of respondents rated their health positively. Close behind are Malta (79.2%) and Greece (78.3%), both well above the EU average.

In stark contrast, several countries show far lower levels of self-perceived well-being.
