Malta Hits Milestone with Record Low Early School Leaving Rate

In a video posted to his social media, Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, Clifton Grima, shared some news regarding the education sector in Malta.

Malta is in a better position than the European median when it comes to early leavers from school, at a rate of 8.6%.

This is the first time Malta has been in this good position. Minister Grima explained how the goal was for Malta to reach the European median by the year 2030.

Minister Clifton Grima proceeded to attribute this success to all those who work within the education sector, including those in the ministry, teachers, and even students.

“This milestone fills us with courage,” said Grima, “and it shows that when you invest in the education sector, it pays off.”
