Malta Has Lowest Level Of Crime Ever, Says Minister

Speaking in parliament, Minister Byron Camilleri said that Malta has the lowest rate of theft it has ever recorded.
‘Information already laid before the House shows that Malta recorded the lowest rate of theft last year. This rate is even more significant when one considers the increase in economic activity and tourism.’
‘A comparison between last year and 2012 shows that the rate of theft in our country has been reduced by half.’
He said this does not mean that work can slow down or stop, ‘particularly since new realities now exist which we must address through clear strategies.’
