Responding to a parliamentary question, Foreign Minister Ian Borg broke down the amount of humanitarian aid given by Malta to the Gaza population in 2025.

‘During this year, Malta made a donation of €70,000 to UNICEF to support urgent humanitarian needs in Palestine, with a focus on children and vulnerable families’, said Borg.

‘In addition, Malta financed the pre-carriage haulage of flour to Gaza through CMA CGM Malta Agency Ltd., valued at €158,015.88, to ensure the provision of essential food supplies to the civilian population in Gaza.’

‘By the end of 2025, Malta had committed a further €50,000 to the World Central Kitchen for food assistance operations in Gaza, as well as €50,000 to UNRWA for humanitarian programmes in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, supporting Palestinian refugees in these regions.’

Borg said that the government continued to collaborate with international partners to facilitate the delivery of food, medical supplies and other essential aid to Gaza.
