Għaqda Bdiewa Attivi shared shocking images of empty shelves in grocery stores as bad weather blocks cargo deliveries.

Malta’s food stock is reportedly under pressure due to our heavy dependance on importing goods from abroad.

In a post to their Facebook, Għaqda Bdiewa Attivi stated “It’s good that one realises the repercussions of a country that heavily depends on imported product for their food.”

“Some bad weather for a day or two and these are the effects,” they concluded.

In the past few days, Malta was hit with rain and heavy winds, understandably delaying cargo deliveries.
