MALTA FINISHES 11TH IN JUNIOR EUROVISION 2025 AS FRANCE CLAIMS VICTORY

Malta’s Junior Eurovision journey in Tbilisi concluded on Saturday night with a solid mid-table finish, as 12-year-old Eliza Borg placed 11th out of 18 countries.
France claimed its fourth victory in the children’s song contest, with Lou Deleuze’s song Ce Monde taking the top spot with 248 points.
Borg, who opened the show with her inspirational ballad I Believe, earned a total of 92 points, 54 from the international professional juries and 38 from the global online vote.
Unlike the adult Eurovision, viewers were allowed to vote for their own country. Her performance, supported by dancers and centred on themes of trust and belief, earned maximum points from Armenia and strong scores from Italy and North Macedonia.
While Malta has enjoyed top 10 finishes in recent years, this year’s result fell short of last year’s fifth place. Ukraine and host nation Georgia completed the podium, finishing second and third, respectively.
Despite not reaching the top 10, Borg received warm applause from the audience and praise for her powerful vocals and emotional stage presence.
The result marks another proud moment for Malta in the Junior Eurovision, continuing the country’s strong tradition in the contest, which includes wins in 2013 and 2015 with Gaia Cauchi and Destiny Chukunyere.
Well done to Eliza Borg for representing Malta on the international stage. 🇲🇹
