Malta Fashion Week 2026 Officially Kicks Off

Malta Fashion Week 2026 has officially opened with an evening celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and innovation, bringing together local and international talent in a showcase of fashion, culture and artistic expression.
The event marks the beginning of a week dedicated to designers, emerging creatives and industry professionals who continue to shape the future of fashion in Malta and beyond.
The opening night was attended by distinguished guests, including Fern Mallis, the renowned figure credited with creating modern New York Fashion Week.
Her visit to Malta was made possible through a collaboration between The Phoenicia Malta and the U.S. Embassy in Malta. Also present were US Ambassador to Malta Somers Farkas and Rachelle Borg Dingli.
The evening’s runway featured a series of striking collections, beginning with James Dimech’s Textures of the Sea, which transformed paper into sculptural couture inspired by Malta’s marine landscapes.
Oana x Queen’s Lane Couture followed with Divinity in Motion, exploring confidence and elegance through bold designs and refined details.
International designer J. Aki Navarro of Unikimono presented versatile unisex cover-ups inspired by Tulum’s bohemian atmosphere, Mediterranean influences and Malta’s coastal identity.
The evening concluded with Vanusia Hair Design, led by award-winning hairstylist Vanusia Mifsud Vella, which challenged traditional fashion concepts by turning hair extensions into wearable art.
Following the runway shows, guests continued the celebrations at the official after-party sponsored by Campari, with music from Vibe FM DJ Deji.
Malta Fashion Week 2026 continues throughout the week, further establishing Malta as a vibrant destination where fashion, culture and creativity meet on an international stage.
