Malta Among Best European Countries For Access To Public Drinking Water

According to new data, Malta has just been classified as one of the best countries with 100% to public drinking water.
With a full rating, Malta was classed alongside countries such as Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Germany, Sostenibilità reported the European Water Services 2026 in saying.
This follows an initiative, launched last year, to encourage the consumption of tap water.
Launched by Minister for the Environment and Energy Miriam Dalli, the initiative was titled ‘Iftaħ u Ixrob’, and saw the use of activated carbon filters that enhanced the water quality across Malta and Gozo.
