According to a poll conducted by Malta Daily, 62% of people prefer staying in rather than going out, while 38% would rather head out.

There are plenty of reasons why a night at home might sound more appealing. After a long week of work or studying, staying in offers a chance to relax, watch a film, cook something nice or simply enjoy some peace and quiet without having to make plans.

Cost could also be a factor. With meals, drinks, transport and entertainment adding up, spending an evening at home can be a more budget-friendly alternative to going out.

However, going out has its own appeal. Meeting friends, discovering new restaurants, attending events and enjoying Malta's nightlife can offer a welcome change of scenery. For some, socialising in person is an important way to unwind, meet new people and make memories.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference, mood and lifestyle. Whether it is a quiet night on the sofa or an evening out with friends, both have their advantages. But according to Malta Daily's poll, staying in seems to have the upper hand.
