Lydia Abela Shares Daughter Giorgia Mae’s Cats For International Cat Day

Dr Lydia Abela, wife of Prime Minister Robert Abela, took to social media to celebrate International Cat Day, sharing a heartwarming glimpse at the family’s feline companions.
The Prime Minister, his wife and their daughter Giorgia Mae share their home with several cats, with Giorgia Mae well known for her love of animals and for caring for a variety of pets.
“Happy International Cat Day to all the wonderful cats around the world!” Abela wrote.
She celebrated the “little paws, curious eyes, soft purrs and endless personalities” that make people’s lives brighter, while wishing that every cat could have “a warm home, a full bowl, gentle hands, and a human who loves them unconditionally.”

“Here’s to our furry companions who bring comfort, laughter and so much love into our lives,” she added.
Accompanying the message were photos of the family’s five cats: Luna, Zen, Whiskey, Louis and Birillu.
Whiskey and Birillu were both adopted, with Abela using the occasion to once again highlight the importance of giving animals in need a loving home.

The photos offered followers a glimpse at the furry members of the Abela household, and on International Cat Day, Luna, Zen, Whiskey, Louis and Birillu certainly got the attention they deserved.
