A political activity held by wife of the Prime Minister, Lydia Abela, focused on the progress made in politics and civil life by women, thanks to measures by the Labour Government.

Lydia Abela expressed her joy at the party’s efforts to give the right to vote, a voice and more power in their personal life to women.

It was noted how 40% of the Labour Party’s candidate list is comprised of women, with Lydia saying that a new Labour government is promising more rights for women and support for the family.

On their part, Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg and Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Alex Agius Saliba highlighted the party’s track record in carrying out the proposals the party promised in past manifestos, pledging to do so again if given the mandate on the 30th of May.
