Locals Capture Stunning Photos Of Birds Arriving In Malta Due To Mediterranean Weather
Environment

The weather conditions round the Maltese islands during Monday 14th September led to a large number of birds making their way towards the islands.

The weather saw storms hit around Malta, with a gentle east-north-easterly breeze prompting some flying fauna to make their way towards Malta and Gozo.

Among them were turtle doves, golden orioles, bee-eaters, flocks of egrets, harriers, night herons and quail.

Experienced birdwatchers described the migration as a unique event due to the wide variety of bird species passing over the islands, explained It-Temp Madwarna.

In fact, Ray Cassar Photography captured some stunning shots of the birds and shared them to social media.

Did you spot any stunning birds?
