Local Student Spends Morning With Community Police Officers

A student from De La Salle College was recently given a unique behind-the-scenes look at police work after spending a morning alongside Malta Police Community Officers in Cottonera.

Leon, whose visit was arranged by his Learning Support Educator, was welcomed by officers as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening ties between the Police Force and the community.

During the visit, Leon had the opportunity to learn more about the day-to-day responsibilities of police officers, explore a number of police vehicles and even join officers on a short patrol around the Cottonera area.

The Malta Police Force described the experience as a valuable opportunity to engage with young people and provide them with a closer understanding of the work carried out by officers across the country.

Community policing initiatives such as this continue to play an important role in building positive relationships, promoting trust and encouraging greater community engagement among younger generations.
