Marika Caruana, a local photographer, captures stunning shots of last weekend’s blue moon rising behind the Basilica and Collegiate Proto-Parish Church of Saint Paul in Rabat.
Sharing the images on her social media, Caruana stated that they were taken on the 31st of May 2026, at 9:12pm.
The vibrant Blue Moon was visible from our island last weekend, a rare occurrence that only takes place every couple of years.
The Blue Moon is an “extra” full moon within the span of one month.
