Local Nepalese Community Holds Vigil For Khim Bahadur Pun
Local

A vigil was held by the Maltese Nepalese community for Khim Bahadur Pun, a 42 year old father working in Malta who passed away after a tragic hit and run in Birkirkara yesterday, Sunday 10th August 2025.

Mr Pun had been living in Malta for more than three years, working as a food courier to support his family. He is the eighteenth person to die on Malta’s roads this year.

A video was shared to TikTok showing a vigil held for Khim by the local Nepalese community, with candles being lit, Nepalese flags being flown and friends and loved ones meeting to mourn his passing.

His death is urging more calls on actions to take place to address the amount of accidents on Maltese roads, which many are concerned due to their apparent increase.
