Local Fishermen To Receive Aid After Storm Harry Damage

It was announced that fishermen who have suffered damages due to Storm Harry are set to receive aid in whatever way possible, with all those impacted urged to contact the Department of Fisheries for more information.

This was announced by both Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights Anton Refalo and Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said who met with local fishermen who are currently struggling to manage resources due to Storm harry.

‘Through the department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, we will be offering all the needed support during these difficult times’, explained Bugeja Said.

The Parliamentary Secretary urged any fisherman who suffered any damages to property to contact the department so that they can receive the necessary aid.

Minister Refalo extended his solidarity to all the disciplined forces working tirelessly to make sure the community is safe.

Farmers, he said, will also be receiving the required aid, with a new scheme being launched so as to gather information about all those who suffered any damages.
