Local Disciplined Forces Join Vigil For Late Oliwia In Ċirkewwa

Yesterday, Malta Police officers and other members of the Disciplined Force joined a memorial mass and wreath-laying ceremony in Ċirkewwa in honour of late 13 year old Olivia Wojnowska.

Oliwią was the 13 year old girl who, early last week, was swept out to sea and unfortunately lost her her life in the accident. A massive research and rescue effort that lasted around 3 days was launched, with police, CPD, AFM and various other entities engaged in the operation.

On Sunday, officers who were directly involved in the search efforts, together with members of the Police Support Response Team, who assisted in the victim’s family throughout the ordeal, joined to lay wreaths at the site.

‘It has been a difficult week for all those involved. But no matter how challenging the circumstances, our officers worked tirelessly, shoulder to shoulder with the other entities.’
