Local Crafts Baby Outfit Out Of A Watermelon!

Watermelons are a staple summer fruit, enjoyed by many as a refreshing snack in the scorching weather.

But what if it was an outfit?

Yes, that’s right. Former mayor of Għajnsielem Franco Ciangura looked at the green fruit and saw potential… for a baby outfit!

Thanks to his little grandson Zayn as the model, Ciangura carved out a watermelon of its red, watery insides and kept the green shell to craft not just a little vest but also pants!

And it came with little accessories too. A little belt, a bow tie and a bracelet!

The watermelon outfit was inspired by the celebrations of Għajnsielem’s festa celebrations for Our Lady of Loreto, going down this Sunday 31st.

And to be honest, if we don’t see this on the next biggest fashion runway in Malta, we’re protesting.
